Finally the yellow/orange ink dried, it’s a strange process one minute it is still tacky then suddenly it’s bone dry. Anyway here’s the finished print that is really an application of a mixed media process covering a linocutting, monoprinting and stencilling. The cutting was done using a very basic and simple pencil sketch on the block then the knives and gouges were used as if they were a different kind of pencil. A sketched linocut if you like. To keep it simple and not worry about registration too much the background colours were cut with a pair of scissors as were the stencils. This was different kind of production process that I enjoyed experimenting with and I will use it again simply because of the spontaineous quality it gives you. Some might describe it as out of control but you have to cut loose occasionally.
Great print. Ha—Cutting loose indeed!

It looks complex to me. I think letting loose suits you!
