Frosted Holly

I’ve produced a few cuts of trees in an experimental manner using the subject to test different ways of printing and ‘Frosted Holly’ is the latest. Using blocks treated with caustic, surfaces other than lino, found materials this is the latest print. The Boss likes it and thinks it works but I’m not sure but as a printing experiment its been excellent and more ideas have been filed away for future use in that filing cabinet known as the brain. Now I’ve just got to remember what I did and how I did it, but the big question now is what is next? I found a lovely old piece of plank in an outbuilding on the farm where I walk Lucie, our Parson Jack Russell Terrier, I have plans for that that but it will be a whole lot of cutting so that’s a project to run in parallel with another. I haven’t got a clue what the other project will be so a period of thinking is needed, well it’s that or wait until an idea suddenly hits me so it’ll just have to be a combination of the two. Mind you I think I’ve got the germ of an idea now. Excellent.
