One of those early mornings where the dawn sky takes on a truly rosy hue. In fact when you are out walking it looks like somebody is cheating with the colours and making them truly unreal, even when you minimise the amount of colours that are present in the sky and the clouds reducing the effect to just the most dominant part of the palette it still looks unreal. The effect on your senses of the colour in the sky is to reduce your awareness of all the subtleties of colour in the buildings, land and trees and enhance your awareness, or appreciation, of that sky and I suppose that is where the inspiration for this series of prints came from. Albeit unknowingly it turns your mind into a ‘mount’ for the developing spectacle at the beginning of your viewing. Once again only four printings have been utilised but you could easily add another four. Would extra colours improve the print? Some would say ‘yes’ and others ‘no’, I’m in the ‘no’ camp but admit to serious temptation throughout the series.
