Angling and watery landscapes

Another map from the the book Caught by the River. A collection of Words on Water. This time the water in question is Dorset’s beautiful River Stour and the map illustrates a chapter written by Chris Yates about fishing for Perch as winter steadily draws in. The author was worried that the map would reveal some of his favourite fishing places, but the concern was unnecessary because the river in the valley was described as the vapour trail from a military jet high in the evening sky above the Dorset countryside.

River at the end of Autumn. Map to accompany a chapter written by Chris Yates. Linocut printed in one colour on 300gsm Fabriano Artistico Brilliant White HP.
