Another print that was produced for a small blank card, this time of a heron underwater. We see them standing like garden statues by the rivers, drains and dykes waiting and watching for their next meal. When a fish or eel comes into striking range they move like lightning and breakfast, dinner or tea is secured and swallowed in the blink of an eye. All of the cards in this series were very small so the trimmed and folded card was only 100mm square so the image that is displayed here is considerably larger than that of the original.
