Fenland prints

One of a series of three prints of Fenland depicting the winter landscape at dusk, midday and evening. This first print shows the River Delph near the village of Welney where it flows through the Ouse Washes. In bad weather this massive area floods with water only being released at certain times into the tidal Great Ouse.nIt’s an awe-inspiring area to visit and it’s loved by anglers, wildfowlers and bird watchers. It is also home to the Welney Wetland Centre where overwintering migrant birds from Russia, Finland, Sweden and Iceland can be watched right through the hard winter months at the Wetland Centre.
