Another plank, another Terrier

Now there’s only one more woodcut to produce to complete the ‘Lockdown Series’, a cut of Lucie our youngest Parson Jack Russell Terrier, and then the project is finished. This woodcut is a new print of Barney, our old Parson Jack Russell who is fifteen plus and a proper old boy. He can still master the thousand yard stare although that’s as far as the intimidation goes now. He’s lost a few teeth and even his tan patch and tail band are going grey but when you are the human equivalent of 108.5 years old these things happen. He’s still able to bark a lot, he walks miles and causes trouble but now he’s more of a sleeper, a watcher and a sitter than a fighter, well, even Terriers have to retire sometime. You could say he’s adopted a more relaxed posture and attitude but then that’s maturity for you, well, unless someone rings the doorbell. The woodcut is printed in four colours on 300gsm Fabriano Artistico Brilliant White HP and the image area 85mm x 125mm. Quite small for a breed with a giant personality and attitude.
