The latest print in the Fenland Skies, or more simply, number four in the series. I’m already working on numbers five and six so there’ll be yet more to bore you with. Can’t wait? Excellent. When you start to get involved with a series like this you realise how identifiable the Fenland landscape is and how easily you cease to see it and take it for granted. A friend who comes to visit, she’s another Printmaker although she mainly works with type, said that when she drives into the Fens she always feels as if she is driving through one of my prints. I’ll take that as a compliment anytime! Anyway back to ‘Farmer’s warning’, we’ve had some fantastic skies during the last few weeks and in a way this pays homage to them albeit in a small way. Most days I’m up and about walking Lucie before dawn so I have the privilege of seeing the beautiful sunrises develop on the eastern horizon and what a light show they are, infinitely variable and truly incredible. This morning the sky was mostly shades of green but there’ll be more on that strange spectacle in a future post.
Love it – so distinctive! And the foreground detail is masterful…

What a compliment from your visitor! I’d take it, too! Wow.
I have been sharing your blog posts with my husband. He’s a fan of your work as well.
Keep going!
