New ones, old ones and some missing

Finally I’ve finished cutting and proofing and here they all are. Almost. The twelve colour separations for the front cover aren’t there nor is the type for the gravestone to Mary Bax and ironically I’ve put the gallows blocks in a safe place along with the background for the Buzzard and predictably I can’t find them, but I think you’ll get the idea. There is one more piece to produce and that’s a map but I’ll do that over the next week or so while I get on with ticking off some of the jobs and projects that the Boss has on her list for me. It’s a long list too. Meanwhile on top are most of the first proofs, including the gallows, artistically taped to some kitchen cupboards. The eel at the top will have to have a new tail-end fitted, it was the last cut and I slipped and rammed a gouge into my little finger but the eel lost his tail. Thankfully there’s no blood on the proofs from either of us. Having done all that now it’s time for a fine beer, from Kent appropriately enough.
