Taped to the wall for further examination

Sorry about the somewhat random and al fresco nature of the prints displayed above. I decided to tape the latest series of prints to some kitchen units to view them in their entirety, a one man critical review if you like. The white units are biggest clear area in the house but still an area where damage could easily bring me a frightening brush with a near hanging offence. Hence the small pieces of masking tape to very carefully ‘hang’ the prints. No play on words intended. At the top left is the print that started the series, ‘The Red Shed’, not a success but a bit of a transitional stage and the beginning of the series. Well that’s my excuse anyway. Then in no particular order the new work with the most recent being the bottom row of four. I’m working on another print now, along with all of the household and garden jobs so there should be a new image to present next week. Two colours are already down on paper and there’s maybe two more blocks to cut and complete the print. So there’ll be more to see next week, well one print at least.

    1. Linda, Thank you for your kind support. The main trouble is I never see them as a finished collection or series. In your mind there is always a further development to be explored, I think it’s the nature of being an artist, you’re always pushing. Best wishes to you and your family, stay safe and well. John
