A stand of Poplar trees view from the end of the line in the fog. There’s nothing like an all enveloping Fenland fog everything goes quiet, all you can hear is the odd crow or pigeon their calls muffled by the grey blanket, suddenly it’s a different. The three colours used in this print didn’t scan too well so apologies for that, the colours were perhaps a little subtle but they are OK to the naked eye. This is my last experiment with Japanese paper, well I haven’t got any more left, but the West Norfolk landscape will the main subject of the new prints and they will be printed using no more than three colours. Now it’s time to rub down the press with an oily rag and await the arrival of the grandchildren and the excitement that they will bring with them, a very merry Christmas everyone.
I could feel the cold….and the hope.
You are amazing.
