For me a slightly different print subject here. A friend has asked me to produce two prints for a book he is self publishing and here’s two versions of the first image of The Green Man. The relief carving it is basedis at the top of pillar on a wall in a church, St Martins, in the village of Thomson in Suffolk so it’s really an interpretation of a carving with the missing bits of the stone work put back in place by me. I prefer the upper image which is straight black line work on Fabriano paper, the lower image is black and grey on Japanese paper. Now I’m working out the layout and composition of the second image and that should be on view in a week or so. Then it’s time to start working on another book and some more river prints.
