…and now for something completely different

A bookplate is not something that I have ever produced before but an ‘oblique’ request from a friend meant that I turned my hand to cutting one this week. The theme was a apple tree and the finished size on the bookplate is only 65mm wide so here is the finished cut. When it has been converted to a self-adhesive label it will be printed in an apple green and hopefully on cream paper so you’ll have to use your imagination to visualise the finished printing because I don’t print onto self adhesive paper.

    1. Good morning Linda, it’s 8.20am here so it must be the middle of the night where you are!
In response to your request, yes, I can print you some copies, it’s not an editioned print so how many would you like? Ten? Or more? Would you like them printed as cards in the ‘Apple Green’? Let me know and I’ll get the job done, I have no idea what to charge but I’m quite positive we’ll reach an agreement and heaven knows what the postage will be. With the madmen running this world nothing seems to be straight forward. Let me know how many and I’ll do some sorting out at this end. God bless and my best wishes to your family. John

      1. Well, there’s nothing like waiting 6 months to respond, right? Sigh. Needless to say there has been a lot going on in this crazy world. One of the mad men you alluded to is running my country and it has me a bit upside down. I’m sure I know how Alice felt when she fell down the proverbial rabbit hole. AGGGHHH!!!

So forgive my very tardy reply. I am still enamored of these as bookplates. I was thinking of them for my BookClub friends but I have no idea what I am asking as I have no clue at to what that would cost either in printing or mailing. So I leave it to you to give me an suggestion of what would be reasonable. Perhaps bookplates would be much too pricey – in which case I would accept whatever you deem a reasonable gift for 11 BookClub ladies (I make #12).

I also would offer that we communicate via email from this point – mine being floatgmoon@gmail.com

I look forward to hearing from you.

        Love, Linda
