I’m pleased to say that I’ve started a new series of cuts and prints to illustrate another book for Medlar Press. The prints are all monochrome except for the cover but I haven’t made up my mind about just how to treat the cover, the agony of indecision at work I think. This is the first image and it is for the Foreword of ‘A Tide of Fish’ written by Clive Gammon and there will be a print at the start of each chapter at a final image size of approximately 95mm deep and 105mm wide. Although the image is basically monochrome there are two greys from, one from each of two blocks and a warm black for the anglers on the jetty, a jetty or pier in a poor state of repair and what better place to on a cold, windy and potentially wet night. Perfect. Although I am cutting the blocks 50% larger for reduction this is still a small size to work at for the originals so it will be a discipline improver and experience!
Impressive, as always. Good luck with this project.
