A print produced to get me right back into the groove of cutting and printing again. This time another angling image about Roach fishing, well it is the new series I’ve started working on although I have cut and printed our Christmas card in the interim. But more about nearer the beginning of December. To further enhance the mood Sue and I are having a few days fishing for the species next week. I don’t see me managing a 2lb 4oz specimen as Sue did. Ironically the first Roach that she had ever caught when we fished the Hampshire Avon for the first time and that proves that it might not be a waiting game for some lucky person. . .
That’s quite some Roach to catch first time out. Tight lines for your upcoming fishing trip.

That’s wonderful, Jon!… As always, your work is so damned charming- each print is like a breath of fresh air.
I was all set for a piking season like never before. Had an abandoned lake all set up, but I’ve had some more seizure problems/increases in meds etc- and have been advised to wait a good six months before sitting near islolated waters for hours on end. It’s for the best. This is the first time I’ve given into it. I was out wading for bass in May; looking back, that seems rather foolish now.
… Was bloody good fun, though…
I’ll be arranging some trips with mates locally, to more clement waters where I can fish alongside a buddy.
The ‘chosen’ lake is something I’m willing to wait for.
In the meantime, there are hawks to chase. And falcons… And who am I to complain?
Speak Soon and Good Luck with those Red-Fins! Gareth
