Two linocuts where the themes were, very loosely, television commentators cliches and replica football strips. Usually the strips were bought as presents when I was a youngster and in a size so large that you had to grow into them, now they are a uniform for a teams dedicated supporters. A tribal identity. Anyway the two titles ‘The keeper is making himself big’ and ‘Incredible, it’s gone round the wall’ speak for themselves. As always there’s a remembered Teesside or Middlesbrough skyline in the distance and the solo player’s ability to make any place into a noisy stadium in your imagination.
