Angling and watery landscapes

An angler lost in the reeds and lost in his own world at the base of a high bank on an estate lake. The venue is nowhere in specific more a mix of places that I know and have fished. I would love a lake like that all to myself for an entire season, but then who wouldn’t? The pleasure of finding out what fish swim in the waters tench, carp, rudd and winter roach, pike and perch. I’m still absolutely convinced that the great landscape gardener Capability Brown was a pike fisherman because of all the fantastic lakes he designed into his gardens.
