Fenland prints

The second print in the new series of Fenland prints inspired by the huge Fenland skies, the usual inspiration some would say. On this occasion the subject of the print is inspired by the unbelievable shades of yellow that show when the weather and atmospheric conditions are just right a little after sunrise. Admittedly the volume has been turned up a little in the use of the yellow ink but why the hell not? We see plenty of crazy skies in West Norfolk and on a good day they can range from skies that wouldn’t look out of place on a Dutch seascape and all the way through the full spectrum of colours in a psychedelic display that would suit a stadium size light show. Dawns, sunsets, clouds, storms, blue skies and fogs they’re all there to be watched and enjoyed. And the big bonus, it’s all free.

Yellow skies. Linocut printed in seven colours on 300gsm Madrid Litho White in edition of ten. Image size 150mm x 150mm. £75.00
