This is the last of the series of three small Fenland landscapes, although really they are more of an experiment with the handling and printing of the sky so I suppose that in a way that makes them skyscapes rather than landscapes. Take your pick really. The print shows a small house at the end of a dyke, sugar beet fields and, obviously, a glowing sunset that is fairly typical of the big flat area of land that is the West Norfolk Fenland. The series of three is really a small beginning for a more prints and as I have said before what you learn on one print you remember, or try to remember, in all the following prints that you produce. So, we’ll just have to see what turns up over the next few months along with all the other work that is in progress.
