Fenland prints

Two more prints inspired by the West Norfolk Fenland. The first is the landscape that I see from my studio window looking towards the river and lock. As a view it isn’t spectacular in any way but it is a subject that I keep going back to and revisiting at different times of the year. Perhaps it’s the comfort of the familiar giving a feeling of security, it’s an ordinary view but there is something comforting about it, probably because it is familiar. The other print of the small cottage is also a subject that I keep returning to, the cottage sits behind a small field at the head of a drainage dyke and just like the view from the studio window the appearance and mood constantly changes with the crops, seasons, weather and time of day.
