Another landscape print from my home area but not really a Teesside industrial scene this time, although farming is an industry. For this print the subject matter is based on a family farm that was situated in Bilsdale in the North Yorkshire Moors near the village of Chop Gate. I used to spend all my spare time and every school holiday there working on the farm, shooting and trout fishing. In truth this is a print from memory and probably combines a bit of dewey-eyed nostalgia and the elements of another family farm in Raisdale, the next dale to the west and over the top of the appropriately named Cold Moor, even in summer it could be cold let alone winter, autumn or spring.

The Bilsdale Hare. Linoprint in six colours printed on 300gsm Fabriano 5 Smooth Brilliant White. Image size approximately 330mm x 460mm. £150.00.
This is really nice, the way the colors are applied side by side in the path… I love the rabbit!
