A work in progress

The block and the first proof of an experimental work in progress. I’m always trying different ways of representing the Fenland landscape so I suppose this time I fancied myself as a drone looking down rather than across and to make life a little more difficult I’m using a different style of cutting to my usual broader approach. However back to the print, the beauty of the first proofing of a block is that it lets you see what has gone wrong and it also shows just how much cutting you still have to do but without this stage you really are working in the dark. There’s a lot of work to do to complete this block so I’m sure there’ll be another interim proof before I’m ‘happy’ with the finished cut. The intention is that the finished print will be a two colour printing but we’ll see just how the print finally turns out. Back to the cutting then.
